Clean Air for Patients, Better Conditions for Staff
Patient dignity is at the heart of all good healthcare. This is fundamental to all hospitals, care homes or surgeries.
Patient conditions, from fungating wounds to bowel conditions and incontinence, produce malodours that degrade the clinical environment and make patient hygiene suffer.

Positive impact without Changing Routine
There is no requirement to move patients or staff when using our British made Stupor machine and blended oils. Equipment and care can remain as usual as there is no disruption to the working day. Food and drinks are also unaffected by our products.
Sub-micron particles are gently dispersed in a dry state into the chosen area to be treated. As the oils and scents disperse, they follow the natural air flows in a building or area, not only inhibiting air borne pathogens but also those on surfaces.
Not only is the air treated and all surfaces, the effects are everywhere - under beds, in ducting, linen and curtains, in fact everywhere there is air movement.

Scents and odours
Nearly all of our essential oils have some anti-microbial properties.

Our highly developed systems for blending certain essential oils means we can also mix scents that aid relaxation or help refresh and invigorate, with elements to neutralise odours or with ant-microbial properties. The choice is yours.
One of our best sellers is Odoursan, an excellent neutraliser of malodours.
Anti microbial properties
Our research teams have created two oil blends with a powerful capacity to eliminate air borne microbes, as well as those on surfaces.
These are -
- Bioscent - a highly effective anti microbial essence/oil.
- Bioscent+ - a combined essence/oil of Odoursan and Bioscent making this the complete, one-stop solution for its effect both on malodours and its anti-microbial properties.
Active Agents
The active chemicals in essential oils are called terpenes. These are volatile aromatic compounds.
In bacteria, these bind to the cell membrane and cause potassium (K+) ion leakage. This results in the death of the target cell via lysis due to the ion imbalance.
The antifungal properties work in a similar way by preventing the transport of ions. In Candida species, essential oils can stop the organism switch from its unicellular form to the more invasive filamentous form. Oils also work by blocking oxygen dependent respiration in these organisms.
Constant Air cleansing Action
Used 24 hours a day every day in conjunction with our anti-bacterial essences the ST Pro generates a continuous stream of dry sub-micron particles in to the air and leaving the air clean and fresh.
Trials have shown that the effects of Bioscent are almost immediate and long lasting. As other appliances are switched off, a new insurgence of organisms enters the room, usually through people, and colonisations starts all over again. With the ST Pro running constantly, the area is continuously safeguarded.
High Efficacy Rates Reduces your need for Clinical Deep-cleaning
The ST Pro’s high efficiency work rate reduces the need for clinical deep cleaning, with the consequent savings of staff time and cleaning materials, and helps inhibit the resurgence of subsequent infections.
Controls the Environment with Ease
The ST Pro’s fan uses centrifugal force to create a vortex, a spinning spiral of air that, selectively channelled over and across the essence dish, picks up sub micron particles of essence and gently disperses it into the atmosphere.
Technically straightforward, it’s also simple to use. Just insert a scent cartridge, plug in and it’s operational. The diffuser itself is durable and quiet yet portable, lightweight and unobtrusive.
At maximum output the ST Pro machine treats six hundred cubic metres of air an hour. This is similar in room size to an average ward or waiting room.
Results are not only immediate, but are long-lasting. Trials show that after continual recommended use the effects can stay active for weeks, even after the machine is switched off.
